Day 3: Saving Private Ryan

Monday, August 1st 2011

First day of shaum, or puasa, or fasting! The ritual begun! Sahur at 03.45 a.m., going to masjid at 04.45 for Subuh pray, and then take a short sleep before going to school. Err wait... Going to school? Not anymore, iedo! You're a college guy now! Woo hoo! And because I'm no longer a freshman, I don't have any orientation in this August (which was a nightmare last year...). Therefore, HOLIDAY IN THE HOLY MONTH! A FULL HOLIDAY! This is my first Ramadhan while also having a full holiday. So, the ritual also having a bit change.

So, let's start the ritual all over again. Sahur, Subuh Pray at Masjid, then... Sleep all I can! I did that and wake up at 10 or 11 a.m. After that, I wanted to watch some movies that I've already bought as the holiday preparation haha. Therefore, I tried to install the dusty-seldomly-used DVD player and... it was broken. Sigh. Thanks to Allah, my father was in home because he decided to take a day-off as his stomach began to acting freaky. The surprise was... He had another DVD player! So, we installed the new one and then... Enjoy the movie!

Tom Cruise. Matt Damon. Vin Diesel. And... Nathan Fillion!

The film took the World War II setting. This film is in IMDb Top 250 Movies so yes, I'm curious. I watched it with my two last brothers. In the first 30 minutes, I already knew what makes this movie feels good. The gore thingy. The beginning scene was about the Allied Army trying to occupy the Normandy area but when they got there, they're attacked by the Axis by heavy military weapons. And it was a mess. A bloody mess. After that scene, you can't take off your eyes from the movie.

After watching the movie, I took a nap and then, woke up at 5 p.m. So, I took a bath, preparing for the break-fasting, break my fasting, and then, went to Masjid to did my Taraweh pray.
